In the Name of God the Almighty

What happened in “Qatif”, the bombing against those that follow the people of the house [the Shi’a] peace be upon them all, is not the first, nor do I think it will be the last time, especially in the absence of a genuine deterrent from the government of “Saudi” against the extremists in the “Kingdom”. Furthermore, it cannot be ruled out that parties in the government are feeding this wretched and abhorrent extremism against moderation in general, and especially against the followers of the true doctrine. What supports this is the failure to reach the offenders, or the failure search for them and take the necessary measures against them. Consequently, punishment has not been a deterrent. So, I direct my words towards those who support moderation in your Kingdom which must be the best example of peaceful co-existence between the doctrines and religions. The American and European live in peace, while the “followers of the Prophet and God“ enjoy little peace.

I say:

Firstly: There should be a relentless pursuit of the perpetrators and bringing them to account, however, we seek an internationalization of these attacks in order to preserve the righteous blood.

Secondly: The followers of the doctrine [Shi’a] must be given a genuine chance to protect themselves and their places of worship and rites unless the protection of the government towards its people can be proven.

Thirdly:  The Kingdom is an advocate of democracy thus must open the political domain to the plurality of communities [in Saudi Arabia] with the inclusion of the affected areas, and especially allowing al-Hasa and al-Qatif to enter the democratic process, or else this advocacy will be shown to be unjust.

Fourthly: The presence of the Holy Places in the Kingdom, by which I mean Mecca and Medina, do not mean that an Arabic Spring will not happen [in Saudi Arabia], or the subjection of the believers to terrorism and violence and extremism… for a repeat of events such as this will authorize the next Spring [revolt].

Fifthly: I have been and remain amongst those who expect the Kingdom to play an effective role in reviving moderation and ending injustice in the country, despite the evidence to the contrary such as the negative intervention in Yemen and Bahrain, and the lack of support for its people in al-Hasa and al-Qatif, so we hope that the Kingdom will return to the moderate fold.

Finally: Oh Lord have mercy on the martyrs amongst the believers in Qudaih and bring them into your mercy, patience, and solace and give them all consolation from the land of Iraq in order that they know we pray that their enemies and our enemies shall go to Hell. We hope that they will have a high level of faith and certainty in their religion and beliefs and that we are with them and against their enemy.
